A jury found a San Jose man guilty on Monday of committing domestic violence against his wife at their Salinas home last year, according to Monterey County District Attorney Dean Flippo. Flippo announced that after a six-day jury trial, Seth Garcia, 35, was found to be guilty of inflicting corporal injury on his spouse on July 16, 2012. Garcia threw his wife into a wall, then punched and strangled her.

The assault occurred in their Salinas home, where they were living at the time, according to Flippo. Garcia is scheduled to be sentenced on June 25, before Judge Julie R. Culver. He faces a sentence of up to four years in state prison for the offense, Flippo said.
