Three male suspects stole money, jewelry and firearms during a residential robbery in west Santa Rosa Wednesday night, a police sergeant said. The victims said a male posing as a pizza delivery person came to the door of their residence in the 2400 block of Plata Court around 10:15 p.m., Sgt. Ryan Corcoran said. The victims said when they opened the door, two other armed male suspects wearing masks and gloves entered and demanded money and jewelry, Corcoran said.

One of the suspects struck one of the residents in the head with a handgun, and all three suspects fled with money, jewelry and firearms, Corcoran said. Police officers saw someone flee during a search of the area and found a vehicle running with its lights on, Corcoran said. Officers impounded the vehicle when they found items inside it that were related to the robbery, Corcoran said. The extensive search for the suspects included the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office’s helicopter and a K-9 unit. The suspects have not been located, Corcoran said.
