Two teens were stabbed in Fairfield Friday evening in what police say may have been gang-related attacks. Officers were dispatched around 5:35 p.m. to reports of a stabbing in the 800 block of East Travis Boulevard, police said. Police said they found a 16-year-old Fairfield boy who had been stabbed in the abdomen.
An ambulance took him to Northbay Medical Center in Fairfield where he was treated for wounds that are not believed to be life-threatening. While police investigated the stabbing, a second stabbing victim walked into Northbay Medical Center with a stab wound to the lower back, police said. That victim, an 18-year-old Fairfield man, was also treated for an injury that did not appear to be life-threatening.
Police determined that the stabbings occurred at Dover Park on East Travis Boulevard. Detectives are investigating the attacks and believe they may be motivated by gang affiliations, police said.
