A man stole cigarettes from a Pleasant Hill 7-Eleven store at knifepoint early this morning, police said. Officers responded to reports of an armed robbery at the 7-Eleven at 2396 Pleasant Hill Road around 3:40 a.m., according to police. The suspect fled before officers arrived and was still at large this morning.
Police said the man entered the business and started grabbing packs of cigarettes from behind the cash register while the clerk was in the back of the store. The employee confronted the suspect, who brandished a knife. As the clerk fled and called police, the suspect ran away with the cigarettes. He was last seen heading south away from the business.
