John Sonny Davis, Vitorrio Jackson and Dion Bell Oaklands recent homicide victims

Oakland police today identified three men who were fatally shot in a 10-hour period on March 31. In that day’s first homicide, John Sonny Davis, 31, was killed as he sat inside a car in the 2400 block of 68th Avenue shortly after 10 a.m., according to police. In the second homicide, 37-year-old Vitorrio Jackson was shot in the parking lot of a Laundromat in the 8900 block of International Boulevard at about 4:10 p.m., police said.

In the last homicide of the day, 36-year-old Dion Bell of Oakland was shot to death at the intersection of 70th Avenue and Hawley Street at about 8:11 p.m., according to police. Oakland police said they don’t believe the three fatal shootings on March 31 were related. No arrests have been made and police haven’t released any motives for the shootings.
