A teenager was shot near an Antioch elementary school on Sunday night, and two other youths were injured when the gunfire shattered the window of a car parked nearby, police said. Police received a report of a shooting on D Street near W. 19th Street, less than a block from Fremont Elementary School, at 8:29 p.m. Officers located a 17-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound to his left arm.

He was transported to a hospital and is listed in stable condition, police said. A stray bullet shattered the driver’s side window of a parked car. A 12-year-old girl and an 11-year-old boy who were sitting inside the car suffered minor cuts on their arms and hands from the broken glass, police said. They were treated for their injuries at the scene. Police are continuing to investigate the shooting.
