A man was shot while smoking a cigarette on the front porch of a home in San Francisco’s Visitacion Valley neighborhood early this morning, a police spokesman said. The shooting happened at about 5 a.m. outside a home in the 100 block of Brookdale Avenue, police spokesman Officer Gordon Shyy said.
The 46-year-old man was on the porch when he heard gunshots, then went inside and discovered he had been shot in the abdomen and legs, Shyy said. The man was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are not considered life-threatening, Shyy said. No arrests had been made in the case as of this afternoon.
