A shooting in Oakland killed one and injured another Sunday night, a police officer said. Officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 8600 block of Dowling Street at about 10 p.m., Officer Kevin McDonald said. When officers arrived, they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds, McDonald said.
Both men were transported to a hospital. One was pronounced dead at the hospital, and the other was treated for his injuries and is expected to survive, McDonald said. No arrests were made, and no suspect information was immediately available, according to McDonald.
