A woman was shot in the leg while sitting in a car in San Francisco’s Portola neighborhood early this morning, police said. The shooting was reported at about 1:10 a.m. near San Bruno Avenue and Dwight Street. The 24-year-old woman was in the front passenger seat of the car when another vehicle approached and someone inside opened fire, according to police. The woman was hit in the leg and was taken to San Francisco General Hospital. She is expected to survive, police said. No information was immediately available about the shooter or vehicle used in the shooting, police said.
