Pleasanton police are asking for the public’s help to find a man who went missing nearly 10 years ago. Police have released a rendering of what Shane Anest, who was 22 when he disappeared on Sept. 28., 2003, would look like today at the age of 32. Anest was last seen at the Archstone Hacienda apartment complex at 5650 Owens Drive in Pleasanton and hasn’t been seen or heard from since.

When he went missing he was described as a white man standing 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes and an image of a deck of cards tattooed across his chest, the letter “S” tattooed on his right shoulder and also possibly between his left thumb and pointer finger. He also may have a tattoo of the words “Shane” or “Anest” written in an Old English script on his upper back or upper right arm. The picture of what Anest may look like today is based on a composite rendering by a police forensic artist.
