Nghia Truong Arrested for Allegedly Committing 7 Robberies in San Jose

On Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at approximately 2:55 PM, The San Jose Police Department arrested Suspect Nghia Truong after he committed an armed robbery at the Nhu Y Spa located at 2495 S. King Rd. in San Jose. After committing the armed robbery suspect Truong attempted to flee on foot to his vehicle. Several citizens observed this and gave chase. The suspect fired his airsoft pistol at one citizen and used pepper spray while trying to escape. The suspect was detained by the citizens until police arrived.

Suspect Truong was also identified as being responsible for an armed robbery that occurred on the same date, Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at approximately 2:11 PM at the D Max Spa located at 625 Woolcreek Dr in San Jose. The subsequent investigation via interviews, witness identifications, and physical evidence, led to the suspect being identified in a total of seven armed robberies dating back to 2011. The suspect was booked into Santa Clara County Jail for 7 counts of armed robbery.
