Women robbed of her backpack in Redwood City on Fourth Av

A female walking in unincorporated Redwood City had her backpack robbed from her Tuesday afternoon, a San Mateo County sheriff’s spokesman said. The victim was walking in the 400 block of Fourth Avenue around 3:30 p.m. when a suspect forced her to give up her backpack, sheriff’s spokesman Lt. Larry Schumaker said. The suspect fled in a vehicle with the stolen goods, Schumaker said. The victim was not injured in the robbery.
