A woman was arrested today after allegedly hitting her Concord roommate in the hand with a hatchet, a police lieutenant said. Concord police responded to the 800 block of Grenola Drive at 3:23 p.m. after receiving reports of an argument between two roommates, Lt. Darrell Graham said. They found a victim, a 46-year-old woman, bleeding from the hand and found evidence that her roommate had attacked her with a hatchet.

Police found the woman’s roommate nearby, identified as 48-year-old Tracey Neal, and arrested her on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, Graham said. The injured woman was taken to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek with a minor to moderate injury to her hand, Graham said. Neal was booked into county jail.

  • This letter is too the so called victin/Rita Bates regarding the woman attacks roommate with hatchet. There’s always to sides to every story. I have known the two of you for a few years. It’s haters like you that need to be locked up. There isn’t much truth to your story besides the fact that you got cut. There was only one witness …Traci’s boyfriend. The truth is you began hitting Traci with a heavy based lamp in which Traci’s boyfriend had to take away from you after hitting Her. After she was arrested,Tracy also had to be seen at the County Hospital for the contusion on her left forearm & her Badly bruised right forearm from blocking the base of the lamp you struck her with. The truth is Tracy accidentally broke the glass on the cabinet when she was trying to get away from you and thats how you got cut. Tracy being a well known caregiver would never have left if she had injured you and knew about it. Her boyfriend left after listening to you on the phone with the police. He also had no clue you were injured. This left you alone, your word against Tracy’s. It’s no secret to your mutual friends knowing your long time obsession for Tracy. If her feelings were mutual for you, this story about a HATCHET would have never been told. God only knows the damage you can create for a person. I feel so sorry for Tracy & her kids who have had to defend their mother for a crime she didn’t commit. I think it’s only fair everyone knows the sad truth like your criminal record of Assault Charges, Possession of methamphetamine, Petty Theft, Stolen Vehicle Charges & history of restraining orders, they would think twice about listening to a drama queen. They weren’t kidding when they diagnosed you mentally unstable I believe when Social Security evaluates a patient they determine which patients are a danger to society & need to be Hospitalized and which patients should be collecting a check & not a threat to should not be collecting a check. Haven t you put enough suffering & stress on Tracy & her family? The DA decided to drop the charges of assault with a deadly weapon And According to the police report, they found no HATCHET because there was NO HATCHET. Last but not least, you were not a credible witness because of your criminal history & mental incapability to make decisions for yourself. If I were Tracy, I would be pressing charges against you for your false allegations & put you behind bars where you belong!
