Shots were fired again at a mobile home park in unincorporated Redwood City Tuesday night, the second time in as many days that sheriff’s deputies have arrived at the same location for the same purpose. San Mateo County sheriff’s deputies were called to the scene in the 700 block of Barron Avenue around 10:20 p.m. Tuesday night, according to the sheriff’s office.
Witnesses told deputies that an unknown Hispanic man in his early to mid-20s fired a 9mm handgun into the air while standing in the street in front of the mobile home park. Deputies canvassed the area but did not locate a suspect. Just one day before Tuesday’s incident, deputies were called to the same location after witnesses reported hearing gunshots.
This time a man with the same description was witnessed shooting a gun at around 7:40 p.m. Monday. Deputies found a storage shed with bullet holes in it and shell casings on the ground, according to the sheriff’s office. The suspect was said to have fled in a silver or gray SUV with chrome rims. According to Deputy Rececca Rosenblatt, the two incidents are quite similar. “Two incidents in basically the same location and suspect description — sounds like the same suspect both times,” she said.
