Hillsborough police arrested a San Bruno man for possession of stolen property on Sunday morning after a resident reported a suspicious person knocking at the front door. The man knocked on a door in the 600 block of Darrell Road, off of Chateau Drive near Interstate Highway 280, just before 7:30 a.m., police Sgt. Nelson Corteway said.

Police arrived and detained the man as he was getting back into his car, and determined that he was on probation. A search of his car turned up stolen property linked to a recent burglary at the home where he had parked, Corteway said.

The man was arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property and for violation of the terms of his probation. Police identified him as 31-year-old Federico Horny. Some items seized from Horny’s car are believed to be linked to other thefts in the area. Hillsborough police are working to identify the owners of the property. Horny was driving a silver 1991 Toyota two-door pickup truck at the time of his arrest.

  • Stalking is also a crime. This guy Dupree was violated in 2009, had he been hear for the hearing (lives in Arizona) he would have found that the above person was not guilty of what Dupree is claiming, but in fact the person who actually committed the crime, plea bargained with the DA so he wouldn’t get 3 strikes, and blamed FH, FH was guilty by association only. Get your facts straight Dupree!

  • Who is this Dupree person. Like he is a saint, don’t think so, look him up on line and see his profile. This guy he is defamating has paid for his crimes and for this idiot to slam him the way he is, karma is a bitch. Until this ass walks in someone’s shoes, shut the hell up. Who is this jerk, a cop, lawyer, judge. Clean up your own closet before trashing people. You are far from perfect and can’t spell! GTHYF

  • As a crime victim I would like to speak with Sgt. Nelson Corteway or the D.A., Probation or Parole officer regardig this offender. I have followed his “carrer” since my crime. He was arrested with evidence of several crimes, resisting arrest, seen on video using a stolen credit card, etc. He was sentenced to 10 years and was out in two. He was arrested on an unrelated crime and sent to San Quentin at least twice and Pelican Bay for a perioud and kept for an incident or infraction twice for 90 days each. Every time he is out even for a short while, he causes more crime and is re arrested. Society needs to keep him longer. His level of violence has increased. I want to speak with someone regarding this offender about how to keep him longer or three strikes, etc.
