A man robbed the Chase Bank in downtown Santa Rosa this morning, a Santa Rosa police sergeant said. The suspect entered the bank at 835 Fourth St. shortly before 11:18 a.m., handed a teller a note demanding cash and fled into the neighborhood, Sgt. Eric Goldschlag said. Police searched the area but did not find the suspect.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned black man with a goatee, approximately 35 to 40 years old, standing about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 185 pounds. He was wearing a green hooded jacket and blue jeans. It is at least the fourth bank robbery in Santa Rosa since Feb. 1.
