A body was found beneath the Maxwell Bridge near Imola Avenue in Napa this afternoon, a Napa County sheriff’s captain said. The body, believed to be that of a woman, was discovered on the east bank of the Napa River on the north end of the bridge by a couple who were walking in the area, sheriff’s Capt. Leroy Anderson said. The Napa County coroner’s office was notified of the death at 12:48 p.m., Anderson said. The woman was clothed but had no identification, Anderson said. There were no signs of foul play, he said.
