A Carmel Valley man suffered a broken nose and a bitten ear after he was allegedly attacked Sunday afternoon, according to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office. Ryan Bernstein, a 24-year-old self-employed day laborer from Carmel Valley, was arrested Wednesday in connection with Sunday’s alleged attack, sheriff’s officials said.
The victim was allegedly attacked around 3 p.m. on Sunday. Bernstein allegedly punched the male victim several times, breaking his nose. He also bit his ear, sheriff’s officials said. The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries, sheriff’s officials said. Deputies tracked down Bernstein on Wednesday and arrested him on battery charges and a probation violation.
