Detectives arrested an Oakland man on Wednesday in connection with a sexual assault conducted on a transit bus three years ago in Rohnert Park. Perry George Roberson, 58, was arrested for sexually assaulting a female victim, who was 15 years old at the time of the assault.
Based on DNA and additional evidence, detectives were able to trace the assault back to Roberson. The Sonoma County Superior County issued a $50,000 warrant for his arrest. Oakland police officers took Roberson into custody at his Oakland home on Wednesday and turned him over to Rohnert Park detectives. Roberson was booked into the Sonoma County Jail for conducting a lewd and lascivious act against a child, a lewd act in public, and for sexual battery, police said.
