Lafayette police shot suspect Woodview Drive

The Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office is responding to an officer-involved shooting in the 3400 block of Woodview Drive in Lafayette this morning. Sheriff’s spokesman Jimmy Lee said the shooting happened around 7 a.m. A male suspect was shot by Lafayette police and taken to John Muir Medical Center, Lee said. No officers were injured, Lee said. The city of Lafayette contracts with the sheriff’s office for law enforcement services.
