A 59-year-old woman was found fatally stabbed in San Francisco’s Mission District on Friday, police said today. The woman, identified by the medical examiner’s office as San Francisco resident Yvonne Barillas, was found by firefighters responding to a report of a dead body in the 2000 block of Mission Street, between 16th and 17th streets, according to police.
Police have not released details on the case, including what time the report came in. Medical examiner investigators found a stab wound on Barillas’ body and determined that her death was a homicide, police said. No arrests had been made in the case as of this morning.
