Oakland Police are searching for a suspect in a downtown bank robbery that occurred earlier this week. The suspect entered the bank on the 1900 block of Harrison Street on Tuesday around 11:45 a.m. and demanded money from a teller, police spokeswoman Johnna Watson said today. The suspect fled on foot after the robbery. Police have released photos taken of the suspect at the time of the robbery.
He is described as a black man in his 40s, standing 5 feet 8 inches tall with a large build and a medium to dark complexion. He had a shaved head and thin mustache, and was wearing a light blue short-sleeved polo shirt with horizontal stripes. The suspect was also seen walking near 20th and Webster streets around noon after the robbery, Watson said.
