Two Pinole residents were arrested after they were allegedly caught spray-painting a historic Hercules home last week, police said. A witness called police around 4:40 p.m. Friday to report that two people had entered the home, which is maintained by the city of Hercules and located in the area of Railroad Park at the intersection of Railroad and Santa Fe avenues, police said.
Officers located 19-year-old Haley Edmunds, who admitted to spray-painting “Halo” on a wall inside the historic home, according to police. Another suspect, identified as Robert Quintero, also 19, was found to be spraying graffiti on another wall inside the home, police said. Quintero was on juvenile probation for a vandalism charge, according to police. Police cited and released Edmunds and took Quintero to county jail in Martinez on suspicion of vandalism. The third suspect was released.
