Joshua James Metoxen Wanted for Alleged String of Bank Robberies in Northern California ARRESTED


A continuing investigation by the Lake County Sheriff’s Major Crimes Unit, has resulted in positively identifying the suspect responsible for the robbery of the West America Bank in Middletown, on February 27, 2013.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Department is currently seeking Joshua James Metoxen of a warrant charging him with an alleged string of bank robberies in Northern California. Deputies report that on February 27, 2013 Metoxen robbed the West America Bank in Middletown. Metoxen is also the prime suspect in the robbery of the Tri Counties Bank on March 7, 2013 also located in Middletown. Metoxen is also identified as the suspect in at least six unsolved bank robberies in Marin and San Mateo counties.

Metoxen should be considered armed and extremely dangerous and should not be approached.
