The same suspect is believed to have committed two armed robberies at knifepoint 10 minutes apart in San Jose tonight, including one that left the victim with a stab wound, police said. At about 9:30 p.m. a suspect demanded money from a 42-year-old man near the intersection of 19th and San Antonio streets.

During the robbery the victim received a superficial stab wound, Sgt. Jason Dwyer said. The victim was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive his injuries. About three blocks away, near 22nd and San Antonio streets, and 10 minutes later, a 50-year-old man was held up by a suspect with a pocketknife. He was not stabbed in the robbery but was struck in the head and is being treated at a hospital. He is also expected to survive. The same suspect is believed to be responsible for both robberies and remains at large. Police are continuing to investigate tonight, Dwyer said.
