Burglary Interrupted in San Carlos, Suspect Flees Scene

Sheriff’s deputies are searching for a burglary suspect who ran from a home in San Carlos’ White Oaks neighborhood after assaulting the homeowner who interrupted the crime just after noon today.

The suspect, last seen running from the home in the 100 block of Oakview Drive, is described as a skinny Hispanic man in his 20s standing about 5 feet 5 inches tall with short, dark hair. He was wearing a black sweatshirt and black pants, and was heading in the direction of Alameda de las Pulgas, according to the sheriff’s office. Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating the burglary suspect.
