Police are searching for two armed men who robbed a Motel 6 in Salinas on Monday night. At about 9:14 p.m. police received a report of a robbery at 1257 De La Torre. The two suspects entered the Motel 6 office and one of them jumped over the counter with a handgun and demanded money from the employee, police said.

According to police, the clerk ran out of the office and escaped unharmed. Police said the two suspects were last seen fleeing northbound on De La Torre on foot toward the Inns of California. Both suspects were described as men in their 20s, police said. At the time of the incident the suspects were both wearing black hoodies, black bandanas over their faces, dark pants, and black gloves, police said.
