Police have identified a man killed in a shooting in Vallejo on Thursday as 24-year-old Vincent Winnie, of Oakland. Winnie was shot in the 1000 block of Caldwell Avenue, Vallejo police Lt. Lee Horton said. Police learned of the shooting when a motorist who was driving Winnie to the hospital flagged down police officers in the 2100 block of Springs Road around 11:55 p.m. Thursday, Horton said.

An ambulance then took Winnie to Kaiser Permanente Vallejo Medical Center, where he died, Horton said. Police arrested Anthony Phillip Bradley, 28, of Vallejo, at the scene of the shooting on suspicion of murder. A separate fatal shooting was reported at a home in the 400 block of Hichborn Street in west Vallejo on Sunday evening. In that case, an elderly man was shot around 5:20 p.m., police said. That victim’s name has not yet been released.
