Robert Norsworthy Carroll Santa Rosa man arrested for allegedly stealing music equipment from Hopmonk Tavern in Sebastopol

A Santa Rosa man was arrested Wednesday in Santa Rosa on suspicion of stealing sound and lighting equipment from a Sebastopol music venue last month, police said. At about 4:12 p.m. on Wednesday Santa Rosa police detectives located a storage unit in the 3500 block of Airway Drive belonging to 47-year-old Robert Norsworthy Carroll, of Santa Rosa.

Upon searching the storage locker police found soundboard and lighting equipment that had been stolen from the Hopmonk Tavern in Sebastopol in February. Detectives located Carroll driving in the vicinity of Fourth Street and Farmers Lane. Carroll was taken into custody on suspicion of possession of stolen property and committing a felony while out on bail.

Carroll was booked into the Sonoma County Jail, police said. According to Santa Rosa police, authorities had been conducting an ongoing investigation into Carroll’s activities related to drug trafficking. On Mar. 7, Carroll was arrested for possession for sales of methamphetamine.

Following that arrest, police searched his home and found methamphetamine was found when. Carroll was released on bail for that case and was out on bail when he was arrested Wednesday for possession of stolen property, police said.
