A woman was arrested after allegedly kicking a 2-year-old girl at a playground in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park on Monday afternoon, police said today. The attack was reported at about 4:30 p.m. at the Koret Children’s Quarter near Kezar Drive in the southeast corner of the park.

The woman, a 24-year-old whose name has not been released, kicked the girl in the torso, causing her to hit her head on the pavement, according to police. The 2-year-old was injured but her wounds were not considered life-threatening. The woman then threatened other people and was eventually arrested, police said. No other information about the attack was immediately available this morning.
