Watsonville police have arrested two more suspects in the murder of a 20-year-old man who was stabbed to death in that city on Thursday. The victim, Felipe Reyes, was found lying on his back in the 1200 block of Lincoln Street on Thursday afternoon by officers responding to a 2:40 p.m. report of a group of males chasing another male, police said.

Reyes had suffered at least two stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. Initial reports indicated that four to five males had been involved in the attack, police said. On Saturday, police announced that they had arrested a 17-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy in connection with the killing. Early this morning, the department announced that two more people had been arrested — another male juvenile and an adult, identified as Oscar Vargas — bringing the total number of people in custody to four.

Police said they are not seeking additional suspects in the killing, which they believe to be gang-related. Reyes’ killing came the day after a 15-year-old boy was stabbed and beaten over the head with his skateboard in the 200 block of Bockius Street by a group of males in their late teens after they asked him if he was affiliated with a gang, police said. The boy was airlifted to a hospital for treatment of his injuries.
