Antioch 19-year-old man who was injured in the shooting on Lipton Street

A man is expected to survive after being shot in Antioch Sunday night, police said. Officers responded to reports of shots fired in the 1700 block of Lipton Street at about 9:30 p.m., police said. When officers arrived, they found a 19-year-old man who was injured in the shooting, according to police.

He was transported to a hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are not considered life-threatening, police said. The suspect opened fire at an occupied car in a garage of a home and fled the scene, police said. No additional suspect information was immediately available.
