Police arrested a suspect in connection with a stabbing Tuesday evening at an apartment in Watsonville. The suspect, 59-year-old Danny Defranco, was identified and arrested at his residence, police said. Police responded to an apartment in the 100 block of East Beach Street shortly after 7 p.m. on reports of a stabbing. Officers arrived at the apartment to find a 37-year-old male victim suffering from several stab wounds, police said.

Emergency personnel provided medical assistance to the victim before he was transported by air ambulance to a trauma center in the Bay Area.
