A Corona, Calif. man was arrested on drunk driving charges in Petaluma early today after he crashed into the center of a roundabout, police said. Kevin Williams, 22, was driving north on Petaluma Boulevard South shortly after 1 a.m. when he failed to slow as he approached the roundabout at Crystal Lane, according to Cpl. Brian Miller. Williams was allegedly traveling around 50 mph in a 15 mph zone when the crash occurred, police said.

His vehicle, a Kia compact, struck the curb and a traffic sign, drove over a median and came to rest in the center of the roundabout. Williams and a passenger were both unhurt. Tests conducted at the scene indicated Williams’ blood alcohol limit was over the legal limit, and he was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence, police said.
