Daniel Stolz of Petaluma arrested in connection to an attempted robbery in San Rafael

Police in Petaluma arrested a man Sunday evening who is linked to an attempted robbery in San Rafael. Officers spotted Daniel Stolz, 52, of Petaluma, in front of his home at 683 Draco Drive at about 5:10 p.m., police said. Before the officers made contact with Stolz, he fled the area, according to police. With help from a Petaluma police K-9, Stolz was found hiding in a boat at a nearby boat storage facility, police said. He was arrested without further incident and later released to the San Rafael police, which had a warrant for his arrest.
