Alberto Morales Wanted for Escape After Stabbing Police Officer in Grapevine

The Dallas Police Department and the Miami-Dade Metro Police Department are seeking Alberto Morales after he escaped from a police vehicle near the Dallas International Airport. Morales was being transported in a vehicle by Miami-Dade Metro police officers after he caused a disturbance on an airline flight.
Morales used a piece from his eyeglasses to stab Miami-Dade Det. Jaime Pardinas, one of two officers transferring the prisoner by car to Nevada to serve a sentence of 30 years to life for a conviction of sexual assault with a weapon.
Morales is described as ‘a schizophrenic’.
The escape happened while they were stopped in a Wal-Mart parking lot in Grapevine, a community near the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.
