John Magpusao, Albert Saenz and Henry Reyes Arrested for Allegedly Stealing $700 Worth of Food from Safeway in Salinas

Three men were arrested on Saturday for stealing around $700 worth of goods from a Safeway store in Salinas, according to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies conducted an enforcement stop on a vehicle at the Prunetree Center in front of a Safeway supermarket at 17539 Vierra Canyon Road at about 3:30 a.m., according to the sheriff’s office.
Two of the three suspects inside the vehicle had active arrest warrants for theft and burglary, and a third falsely identified himself to deputies, according to the sheriff’s office. In a search of the vehicle, $700 worth of perishable foods were found. The goods were determined to have been stolen from a Safeway in Salinas, according to the sheriff’s office.
All three men were arrested and taken to Monterey County Jail. They were identified as John Magpusao, 60, Albert Saenz, 26, and Henry Reyes, 39, of Salinas. All of the stolen property was returned.
