A Novato man was arrested Saturday in connection with three burglaries that occurred in December after he was recognized by an off-duty officer, according to police. The burglaries were reported around 10:45 p.m. on Dec. 19, 2012, when a caller reported a burglary in the 200 block of San Luis Way, according to police.
Two subjects were seen fleeing the area, and one, Cody Lawson, was eventually caught and arrested. A second suspect, Shawn Buckley, escaped capture, however. Investigators determined that two other homes in the area had also been burglarized, and Lawson and Buckley were linked to all three, police said. Buckley was arrested Saturday around 1:20 p.m. after an off-duty police officer spotted him at 300 Vintage Way. He was booked into Marin County Jail.
