Donald Harvey San Jose homicide #3 for 2013 on Southside Drive

The San Jose Police Department is currently investigating the City’s 3rd homicide of 2013. On 1/24/2013, at approximately 8:26 P.M., San Jose Police Officers responded to the 0-100 block of Southside Drive on a report of a person stabbed. Upon arrival, officers located the male victim down on the ground in front of a residence (the residence is not believed to be related).

The victim was transported to Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at approximately 9:30 P.M. The male has since been identified as 44 year old San Jose Resident Donald Harvey. Preliminary investigation has revealed that 4 to 5 suspects attacked the victim and at least one of the suspects stabbed the victim.

The victim was stabbed multiple times. There are currently no suspects identified or in custody and the motive behind the stabbing is not known at this time. There is no evidence that the stabbing was gang related. The San Jose Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating the incident.
