Around a dozen NYPD police officers proved their strength in an heroic attempt to lift a taxi off a stricken pedestrian in the Bronx yesterday morning.
Responding to an accident at East 138th and Brown Place in the South Bronx, the quick thinking officers decided they couldn’t wait any longer and using team work lifted the Ford Crown Victoria off the injured man.
As the police officers heaved the 1.7 ton vehicle off the ground with heavy grunts, EMS workers dashed to pull the 19-year-old victim from out from under the car and onto a waiting stretcher.
