A man was shot during a robbery attempt along San Francisco’s Mission Street early Monday morning, police said today. The shooting was reported around 4 a.m. near Mission and 30th streets. Three suspects approached the 30-year-old victim and demanded money, according to police. When the victim refused, one of the suspects pulled out a handgun and shot him in the hand, police said.
The suspects, described only as men between 20 and 30 years old, fled and had not been found as of this morning. The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are not considered life-threatening, police said.
