Oakland Police Investigators today have released this composite sketch of a suspect in connection with the attempted kidnapping of a 25- year-old woman.
On December 17, 2012, at 5:30 PM, it was reported that a 25 year-old victim was walking in the 3100 block of East 12th Street (near the Fruitvale BART station) when she was approached from behind by this suspect who grabbed her. The suspect tried to pull her to a nearby, waiting vehicle. The victim struggled and was able to escape.
The victim reported at least two to three African-American males were inside the waiting suspect vehicle. (No further description at this time).
The suspect in the sketch is described as an African-American male, early 20’s, 5’6”- 5’8”, medium complexion, clean shaven, thin build, with brown eyes and brown hair styled in dreadlocks. He was wearing a maroon hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
The suspect vehicle is described as a black sedan with tinted windows.
No weapons were seen at the time of the attempted kidnapping.
