A teen was arrested in Pleasant Hill and another suspect remains at large after residents spotted the pair apparently casing a neighborhood for burglaries. A resident in the area of Western Hills Drive and Pleasant Hill Road called police around 10:45 a.m. Saturday after spotted two males writing down addresses and walking up to front doors of neighboring houses, police said. Officers used the witness’s description of the suspects and their vehicle to track the pair to a nearby street. After an officer tried to approach them, the suspects fled, heading through several backyards.

One of the males, a 17-year-old boy, was detained near the intersection of Pleasant View Drive and Oak Park Boulevard, police said. The teen had an outstanding warrant for his arrest and was booked into Juvenile Hall. Police are still attempting to locate the other suspect, who reportedly drove the suspect vehicle, identified as 28-year-old parolee Ricardo Guerrero. Police said Guerrero has the phrase “California Cut Throat” tattooed along his jaw line, a red tattoo above his right eye and numerous neck tattoos. While no residential burglaries in the area were confirmed Saturday, police said the black Cadillac identified as the suspect vehicle matches a suspect vehicle description from a prior home burglary in Pleasant Hill.
