Watsonville shots fired at a residence on Elm Street

Police are investigating multiple shots fired into an unoccupied residence in Watsonville early this morning. At about 12:40 a.m., Watsonville police officers were dispatched to the vicinity of Riverside Drive and Union Street on reports of shots fired at a residence. Upon arrival at the scene, officers made contact with several witnesses who had heard shots fired in an alleyway nearby. Officers located an unoccupied rear unit of a residence in the 100 block of Elm Street, which had been fired at multiple times through a window. Witnesses were unable to provide any suspect information, police said.
