Burglars stole guns and other property from a local police officer’s home in Antioch this week, a police corporal said. Multiple thieves took the firearms and other items from the home of a Contra Costa College police officer in southeast Antioch on Wednesday, police Cpl. Mike Hulsey said.

The officer’s roommate spotted the burglars fleeing as he returned home, Hulsey said. Police searched the area with the help of a police K-9 unit and a helicopter but were unable to locate the suspects, who remain outstanding. It is unknown whether the burglars targeted the officer’s home.
