Steve Bangalan stabbed to death at a party in the 1600 block of Oakland Road In San Jose

A man who died early Friday after being stabbed at a graduation party in North San Jose has been identified as Steve Bangalan, police said today. Bangalan, 30, a San Jose resident, was stabbed at a party in the 1600 block of Oakland Road shortly before 3 a.m. Friday. He was taken to a hospital and died at 3:38 a.m., police said. The party was being held in the office of an insurance firm called The Agency, owned by Michael Tran, who said Friday that the victim was his cousin. Homicide detectives are still investigating Bangalan’s death, the 45th homicide of the year in San Jose, police said.
