A San Francisco man has been arrested on suspicion of robbing a downtown San Rafael bank last week, police said today. Jeremiah C. Martin, 36, was arrested at his Sixth Street apartment around 10 p.m. Saturday, police said. Martin is suspected of robbing the Citibank at 666 Third St. shortly before 5 p.m. Thursday, according to police. The robber entered the bank, demanded cash from a teller and then fled with the money.
He was last seen running north on Tamalpais Avenue, police said. No one was injured and no weapon was seen. Investigators identified Martin as a suspect and arrested him for the robbery and on two outstanding warrants — one for possession of stolen property and one out of Oregon for a probation violation for drugs, police said. He was booked into jail and was being held on $75,000 bail.
