One Dead, Two Injured in Separate Shootings in Oakland

One man is dead and two others are recovering after two shootings in Oakland Saturday evening, police said. Police responded to a report of a shooting in the 1100 block of 32nd Street at 6:09 p.m., Officer J. Moore said. When officers arrived, they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds, Moore said. Both men, whose identities were not yet released, were transported to a hospital.

One was pronounced dead and the other is in critical but stable condition, Moore said. Police are investigating the shooting, and are searching for two armed suspects in connection with the incident. Earlier in the evening, police responded to a report of a shooting in the 700 block of 25th Street at 4:38 p.m., Moore said. Officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound and transported him to a hospital, Moore said. He is in stable condition. The suspect in the shooting remains at large.
