San Francisco police are investigating the circumstances of a shooting that injured a 28-year-man in the city’s Potrero Hill neighborhood on Thursday evening. The shooting reportedly occurred around 5:25 p.m. near the intersection of Potrero Avenue and 19th Street, police said. The victim had a gunshot wound to his foot and initially said he was the victim of a drive-by shooting, but later changed his story and said he was shot by a group of five suspects, according to police. Investigators did not locate any witnesses to the shooting, nor any evidence at the alleged crime scene, police said. No arrests had been made in connection with the shooting as of this morning.
