Man Fatally Shot In San Pablo Sitting In Car

A man was shot and killed while sitting in his car in San Pablo this morning, a police sergeant said. Police were called around 8:15 a.m. to a report of shots fired near the intersection of Rumrill Boulevard and 17th Street, according to Sgt. Mike von Millinich. Officers arriving on the scene located the victim, a 30-year-old man, who was inside his car suffering from gunshot wounds. The man was taken to Doctors Medical Center in San Pablo where he succumbed to his injuries, police said. His name has not yet been released. Detectives are actively investigating the killing.
